IAA Empowering Buyers with CARFAX 

There’s a lot happening with IAA Canada since our successful rebrand from Impact Auto Auctions earlier this year, and we appreciate you taking some time to read our latest edition of the Client Newsletter. Our updates this month are in line with our continuing dedication to meeting the needs of our customers, and we hope that you find these developments as exciting as we do.

We’ll dive into some details about how buyers can now access CARFAX Vehicle History Reports to make informed decisions on our inventory. IAA continues to build on our Interact Merchandising Platform to provide buyers with comprehensive information on our vehicles so they can trust every transaction. We’ll also take a look at our Quebec Market updates to highlight our continuing investment in better serving our clients.

CARFAX Launch

IAA remains dedicated to providing greater transparency and robust evaluation tools to our buyers. We want to help buyers buy with confidence, so we’re very excited to announce that CARFAX Vehicle History Reports (VHRs) are now available for buyers to view. To ensure our buyers maximize the value of Vehicle History Reports, all non-branded and repairable only vehicles will include a report if one is available.

VHRs are fantastic tools available for all buyers to view pre-sale and are included with purchase for access up to 180 days within the IAA Auction Centre. CARFAX Canada Vehicle History Reports further improve our Interact Merchandising Platform, joining a suite of products like IAA 360 View and IAA Engine Starts that help us provide as much information as we can on vehicles we sell in Canada.

CARFAX is the go-to source for the automotive wholesale and retail marketplace for complete vehicle history reports, helping buyers make informed decisions. CARFAX draws upon billions of records to produce comprehensive reports, including major accidents, frame and structural damage, service and inspection records, previous collision repair costs, registration information, and more.

We’re excited about this new offering and how it will provide greater transparency while improving the vehicle evaluation process for buyers.

Quebec Market Update

I'm pleased to announce that we have completed construction of our new building in Quebec City. The design includes a modern space, ample parking, and dedicated offices for adjusters. This improvement is part of our Quebec Market Expansion created to better serve our clients.

You may recall the announcement of our Montreal (Laval) site, which opened in early 2021. After a full year operating from this new location and offices, we have seen improvements in capacity. Team members are enjoying this state-of-the-art space, which includes offices for our insurance and remarketing customers. The building in Laval features large inspection bays that can accommodate heavies, indoor storage for higher value units such as thefts, and space for vehicle cleaning and imaging. Transporters prefer this new location, which is conveniently located off major highways for easy access.
